Rym Ayadi is Senior Research Fellow and Head of Research of the Financial Institutions, Prudential Policy and Tax Unit at the Centre for European Policy Studies. She is Coordinator of MEDPRO, an FP7 funded project for prospective analysis in the Mediterranean. Rym's fields of expertise include financial markets, financial regulation and supervision, crisis management, competition and consumer policy, risk management, European financial consolidation & efficiency, regulatory impact assessment in financial services, financial services provision and financial inclusion, European financial integration, retail financial services and payment systems. She has developed a particular interest for Middle East and North African region with a focus on political, social, business and financial markets development.

She is expert member of several high-level expert groups in the European Commission, external advisor to the European Parliament and invited expert in international organisations. She is also Vice President of the European Financial Inclusion Network (EFIN), a European network that promote mutual learning on financial inclusion.
