Biography:

Diego Valiante joined ECMI and CEPS in March 2009. He holds a BSc degree in Economics and a two-year Master’s degree (MSc) in Law and Economics from LUISS – Guido Carli University in Rome. He also holds a LL.M. Master in Law and Economics from the University of Hamburg, where he wrote his master’s thesis on the US subprime credit market. In 2010, he officially received the PhD in Law and Economics from LUISS university.

Biography:

Piero Cinquegrana joined CEPS and ECMI in July 2008 and has worked on commodities, credit rating agencies, MiFID, short selling, exchange markets and capital markets regulation in general. His research interests are in international political economy, politics and economics of regulation, money, cental banking and institutional reform. Piero Cinquegrana has published articles and commentaries on these issues.

Biography:

Maria Gerhardt joined CEPS in July 2008 and is a Research Assistant at the European Credit Research Institute. She holds a Master in Economics, with specialization in Infonomics from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands, and a Research Master in International Relations and History from the University of La Rochelle, France. During her studies, she spent a total of 14 months in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying at the University of Buenos Aires and gaining work experience in microfinance.
